Sami Merinen aka DJ Mista S was born in 1986 and today is one of the most well-known club DJs in Finland. He got his first itch to hiphop culture and music at 1994 and hasn’t stopped scratching that itch since.
DJing started to interest him during 2000 and one year later he got his first own DJ gear, including decks and an old mixer. He trained harder and harder each day for the next two years and along progress came possibilities.
In 2002 he got his first gigs as an DJ at a tender age of 16. Since then he’s been DJing with the best hiphop-DJs in Finland. Such names have worked with DJ Mista S as DJ K2, Rico Tubbs and DJ Defkut. He was also one of the resident guest DJs in the notorious club Ooppera with DJ K2.
Today DJ Mista S plays for the big crowds and also the best venues in Finland. After graduating from college his DJing reached a higher demand and now he does it for a living. For him it’s all about mixing and mashing it up – He’s not interested in playing just songs after songs, but in to making it fresh, combining great songs together and by doing so, making new music.
